Job Description
-As an Engineering Repairperson Electrical, you will work hand in hand with the Engineering Foreman.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Receive and follow instructions from Engineering Foreman/Artisan
- Perform necessary maintenance and repair work on equipment.
- Perform basic fault-finding activities on defective units and maintenance actions.
- Request equipment and stock requisitions required
- Completing job cards and description of work and spares used
- Perform dismantling, repair, re-assembly and installation tasks
- Report any malfunctioning to Engineering Foreman/Artisan – Complying with maintenance/breakdown schedules
- Promote safety awareness by reminding team members to follow work.
- procedures and identifying unsafe work practices.
- Performs work outside normal working hours when required.
This role is in the Engineering department at a B6 level reporting to the Electrical Foreman.
- Qualifications
-Minimum Grade 12 Mathematics and Physical Science and/or Recognised Electrical Trade subjects - Engineering Repairperson Certificate (Electrical) obtained at ESTC or a Recognised Electrician Trade Test Certificate obtained from ESTC on an 18.2 appointment at Anglo American
- Completed Engineering Assistant – Multi-discipline training
- Electrical Trade certificate ( advantageous)

Experience:
- 18+ months experience in maintenance and repair work on electrical engineering equipment
- Complete Engineering Repairperson Discipline Specific training
- Additional Information
-Good written and verbal communication skills - Valid South African Driver’s License advantageous
- Must be prepared to do standby duties and work overtime when required.
- In possession or ability to obtain a Certificate of Fitness
