MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
- Carry out plant maintenance, repair, installation of equipment.
- Read and interpret technical specifications and electrical schematics.
- Repair faulty equipment.
- Performing and maintain quality workmanship in the execution of tasks.
- Identify possible defects or problems proactively and suggest/implement corrective action.
- Complete plan and unplanned maintenance activities
- Complete plant inspection to identify potential maintenance issues that can stop production
- Testing of equipment with applicable tools
- Correctly instruct, and transfer skills to any fellow employee and worked assigned to
- you to ensure safety and quality of work.
- Exercise skills and knowledge of Electrical trade
- Testing of welding equipment and installations.
- Housekeeping duties
- Ensure and comply with safety standards guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Thermal scanning of DB Boards and equipment as required.
- Preventative Maintenance on on-site sub stations
- Site inspection for Electrical Compliance in accordance with SANS 10142
MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES
Educational Requirements
Mandatory:
- Qualified Artisan Electrician
- Three Phase Wiremans License
Desirable:
- Operating Regulations of High Voltage Systems
- Intermediate Excel
Experience
Mandatory:
- Working knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards and systems
- 10 years experience on an Engineering and Manufacturing plant
- Knowledge of Lock out and Tag out Procedures
- Working Experience on Paint and Shotblast Booths
Desirable:
- Exposed to Rolling Stock Environment
- Cherry Picker License
- Forklift license
- Crane License
- Valid Working at Height Certificate
