Job Duties:
- Be able to operate all maintenance equipment and exercise all construction equipment safely for intended purpose.
- Communicates verbally in an effective manner with technical staff, other employees and vendors on facility equipment problems or suggested improvements.
- Possess a basic understanding of facility systems and construction techniques.
- Support all Health & Safety initiatives related to Maintenance and External Service providers working on site.
- Ensure legal compliance to all issues related to the building, tools, MHE and Employees
- Daily responsibilities include:
- Battery Maintenance and swop on MHE.
- Responding to maintenance requests.
- Back up for contractor support.
- Attending to CI-cards.
- Managing MHE checklists for reported defects with Supplier.
- Perform general handyman activities.
- Housekeeping of Maintenance and battery charging areas.
- Refueling of Generators and forklifts.
Job Requirements:
- Preferably have 5 years’ experience at facility equipment repair and maintenance.
- MHE Licensed: Reach truck, Order Picker, Forklift, Crane.
- Boom Lift licensed.
- Code 10 with PDP License to operate truck and diesel bowser.
- Working at heights.
- General awareness on warehouse equipment – racking setup, conveyors etc.
- Must be knowledgeable on using power tools and hand tools.
- Flexibility on working hours – Saturday shift and split shift.
- Should demonstrate good mechanical comprehension and strong communication skills with technical staff and fellow employees.
