Job Purpose:

The Sales Assistant is responsible to meet the administrative requirements and deadlines of specific accounts thereby enabling the Sales Executive to focus on external requirements such as client visits. Responsible for liaising with customers as and when necessary, ensuring an uninterrupted sales process and maintaining a high level of service.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet any Account specific administrative requirements accurately and on time.
  • Respond to all queries from clients promptly from receiving the query.
  • E-mail changes to stock list ensuring accuracy of all details.
  • Assist with preparation of tender documents.
  • Carry out any administrative duties within the Corporate/Government Sales Group as discussed and assigned from time to time.
  • Providing uninterrupted and professional customer support by responding appropriately to group e-mails and taking overflow calls as necessary.
  • Processing of orders.
  • Continuously monitor all Quote Requests (RFQs) within the group, ensuring that they are dealt with within the stipulated time frame.
  • Ensure complete accuracy on all quotations and orders to avoid manual credits.
  • Maintaining professional customer focus in all tasks.
  • Keeping abreast with the latest technology and products by attending all scheduled in-house sales training.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Matric
  • At least 1 year’s sales administration experience
  • Experience within ICT industry would be advantageous
  • Computer literate, especially competent in Outlook and Excel
