WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Artisan Assistant Mechanical is responsible to assist Mechanical Artisans and also perform Ad-Hoc duties when required both locally and internationally.
- General assistance to electrical artisans during manufacturing.
- Ensure portable electrical tools are safe for use.
- Prepare panels for wiring.
- Prepare electrical equipment for installation.
- Always stack and store work in electrical materials neatly.
- Loading and offloading of material.
- Conduct Housekeeping.
- Technical assistance.
- Participate in team briefs.
- Report unsafe conditions.
- Clean workstations and surrounding areas.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
- Grade 12
- At least 3 years’ experience as a Technical assistant within an explosives environment.
- Code 8 drivers licence.
- Power Tools Training (Grinding, Drilling, Polishing, Cleaning)
- Clear security screening record.
- Adaptability: Demonstrate a willingness to be flexible, versatile and/or tolerant in a changing work environment while maintaining effectiveness and efficiency.
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
- High ethical standards.
- Team worker.
