POSITION SYNOPSIS:
- The purpose of the role is to provide support to the Socioeconomic Development (SED) Team at HMM. The SED Team develops and executes community investment programs and local stakeholder engagement strategy at site, aligned with legal and social requirements and South32 objectives. The SED Analyst will focus on data analysis, impact measurement, reporting, administrative and other analytical work as required by the SED Team.
- This is an on-the-job training opportunity to gain work experience in Socioeconomic Development for the successful candidate. The opportunity is fixed term and does not include permanent employment following completion of the Learnership.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Serious contenders will have a Degree/BTECH/National Diploma in Social Sciences, Development Studies and related fields;
- Be inclined to work with numbers, data, reports and have some familiarity with monitoring and evaluation;
- Good writing, reporting and analytical skills;
- Excellent computer skills and databases;
- Ability to engage with diverse internal and external stakeholders and able to build strong and trusted relationships;
- Attention to detail and the ability to work within a high performing team is essential;
- Good administrative and organizational skills;
- Proven residency in the John Taolo Gaetsewe District is essential.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Provide support services to the SED Team as directed
- Support the SED Team in delivering its objectives and plans
- Provide administrative and organizational support to the SED Team and other HMM stakeholders as required
- Contribute to the Team’s efforts in implementing the SED strategy.
