Role description
We are looking for dedicated Apprentices to join our Heavy Earthmoving Equipment Apprenticeship program and Barloworld Equipment business. The apprenticeship program, the purpose is to create career opportunities and guide and upskill candidates to the Qualified Heavy Earthmoving Equipment Technician level.
Key Outputs include but are not limited to:
· Inspecting the Heavy Earthmoving Products
· Perform basic troubleshooting, testing, maintenance, and repairs
· Ordering Parts
· Workshop and Field service repairs
· Assistance and taking inventory
· Technical report writing, labor, time, and parts cost estimates
Role requirement
· Grade 12/ N3 with Mathematics- minimum pass 45% ( Not functional Mathematics)
· Grade 12 with English- minimum pass 45%
· Grade 12/ N3 with Physical Science minimum pass 45%
· N2/N3 with relevant theory will be added advantage. Relevant theories- Motor/ Diesel theory or/and Electrical/ Electronic Theory
· Technician for Africa certificate will be an advantage
· Minimum Code B Leaner license ( Light motor vehicle) will be an added advantage
