Job Purpose
Bidvest International Logistics (BIL), Pretoria is looking to build a group of skilled Workshop Technician in order to successfully win an exciting tender for a world-renowned automotive manufacturer. The position will focus on all service and repair jobs including any other facility duties as required. The workshop technician will report to the Facility Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
Senior certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent.
Valid Code 08 Drivers License.
+/-2 years experience in Automotive Manufacturing Industry.
5 -10 years experience in similar position/ role.
Vehicle Handling experience.
Quality Control experience.
Key Responsibilities
Quick response to Customer queries and resolving thereof. Order necessary parts from the Parts Department counter or parts warehouse. Report and inspect faults detected other than those that have been presented or other needs for repair/ replacements to the Workshop Supervisor. Quote on all defects on the vehicle, and inform of items which may require attention in the future, including panel outwork and tyres windscreens. Complete of the service schedules attached to job card according to manufacturer’s requirements. Perform test drive to ensure work is completed correctly prior to handing to Workshop Supervisor for final inspection. Repair customer vehicles as per requirement by client.
