Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
- Engineering installations are constructed according to agreed standards, procedures and specifications
- Engineering equipment maintained and repaired according to agreed standards and schedules
- Competent, positive and motivated team
- Compliance with SHEQ, MRC and client standards, policies, procedures and safety protocols
- Effective self and team supervision in alignment with MRC values and leadership initiatives
- Effective stakeholder engagement
Minimum requirements
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
- Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 equivalent
- Section 26 Trade Certificate – Boilermaker, MIETTB (mining Industry Engineering Trades Training Board) Trade Certificate through a registered body
- Contract of Apprenticeship signed off by employer and Department of Manpower
- Valid Medical certificate of Fitness
- Covid-19 Coronavirus Vaccination Certificate [Site Specific]
- Valid First aid Certificate
- Valid Code EB driver’s license
- Sound verbal and written communication skills in English
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
- More than 1 year mining industry experience (Shaft Sinking)
- More than 1 year of trade experience as a Boilermaker
