Job Advert Summary
This position forms part of the Fleet: Mechanical department in the company and will be reporting to the Working Foreman.
This position will be responsible to assist the mechanics in their daily duties, as well as various welding tasks.
Minimum Requirements
National Senior Certificate/Grade 12.
Relevant Welding Certificate.
Relevant experience as a Welder in a mechanical environment will be advantageous.
Ability to work in confined spaces.
Excellent organisational skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Good communication skills and active listening skills.
Basic knowledge of mechanical parts.
Excellent welding skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the mechanics with repairs, replacements, and other mechanical duties.
Welding various materials by using handheld welding equipment.
Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
Assess welded surfaces, structures, and components to identify any errors.
General housekeeping duties.
Adhering to all health and safety rules.
