PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
- An Apprenticeship Training Programme is a combination of on-the-job training and related classroom instruction.
- It is also a training pathway intended to encourage Apprentices to further their studies and participate in formal industry training leading to being a qualified Artisan within the Engineering field.
Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Matric qualification with both Maths and Science achieved at a pass mark of 50% ;
- Must have completed an N2 Instrumentation related qualification, which includes the following modules:
- Maths
- Industrial Electronics
- Instrumentation Trade Theory
- Engineering Science
- Kindly ensure that certified ID copy, proof of qualification and academic record is attached when applying.
- This training is strictly aimed at potential candidates who have obtained an N2 qualification – if you have a qualification higher than an N2, please ensure that you have also completed an N2 qualification as this is the required minimum.
NB*:It is a requirement that apprentices work under the supervision of a certified Artisan for the duration of the programme.
- Apprentices cannot perform the duties of an Artisan until qualified.
- As per the merSETA requirements, Apprentices will be allocated qualified Artisans as a mentors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This is a 4-year Training Programme where incumbents will be afforded both institutionalised and on-the-job training, where they will be given an opportunity to attain a Trade Test certificate.CLOSING DATE: 24 NOVEMBER 2023
