What needs to be done?
- Perform Fitter work on mechanical plant.
- Perform plant inspections and identify deviations, faulty components and defects.
- Report to supervisor any defects or problems and unsafe acts or conditions
- Repair defects and replace faulty equipment and components as per instructions, drawings and standard instructions.
- Inspect, service, repair and replace worn, damaged, defective items not conforming to Howden Power specifications on sections of plant ie. Bearings, couplings, lubrication units, gearboxes, radial vane controls, collar seals, heating elements, fan impellers, etc
- Adjust, set and align components to specifications on section of plant ie. Couplings, bearings, radial vane controls
- Maintain high standard of quality on all tasks at all times
- Comply to all Howden and Client safety requirements and standards
What do you need to bring?
- Grade 12 Certificate or N3 qualification.
- Qualified Trade Tested Fitter
- 3 Years’ experience as a Fitter
- Power Station experience will be an advantage
- Valid Driver’s licence
- The ability to work independently with minimal guidance from Supervisor
