ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- Qualified Artisan –Trade Test Certified
EXPERIENCE:
-
- At least 5 years’ experience in repair/ maintenance of various Heavy-Duty Machinery (Opencast Mining).

| Duties & Responsibilities |
-
- Adhere to organisational Safety and Quality requirements.
-
- Checks electrical systems on designated fleet daily by visually inspecting operation of lights, flashers, warning systems, computers and analysing fault codes by using ET, VIMS on CAT machines and EDS, INSITE on O&K machines to determine route causes.
-
- Carries out any electrical repairs to designated fleet eg. wiring, starters, or alternators.

- Lists all faults which cannot be rectified immediately and report these to the plant agent for later action.

- Requisitions any electrical spares needed for you designated fleet by discussing it with the Plant Manager.

- Carries out planned electrical maintenance to various machines as required.

- Check and sign all service cards daily on items you have repaired.

- Completes paperwork / component slips concerning repairs to units.

- Follow up on breakdowns as a matter of urgency on electricals.

- General tidiness and good housekeeping of workshop and other areas of responsibility.
