  • Job Description for Electrical Artisan

  • Maintain a safe and organised workplace environment through adherence to the Safety and 5S MMS practices
  • Provide Asset Care Technician resources (electrical and mechanical) to the Operations team
  • Accountable to ensure all assigned Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules are carried out at the defined frequency and completed to the required standard.
  • Coach operators to perform autonomous maintenance tasks, machine set ups optimisation and support growth in equipment capability as required.
  • Support capital work, including installation, commissioning and testing within area as required. Responsible for feeding into early equipment management.
  • Make full use of SAP – SAP reporting & recording completion.
  • Review RCM activity on a weekly basis
  • Understands and uses MMS principles tools and techniques, contributing positively to MMS ITFs
  • Manage personal data in Workday e.g. P4G and personal details (specific responsibilities to be clarified)
  • Attend and contribute to SIC process. Complete short interval control documentation on activities.
  • Raise 5 why’s as defined by agreed trigger points. Work with Operators and team leaders to play a proactive role in situational problem solving on shift. Fixing problems and finding solutions via RCPS
  • Participate in line improvement projects.
  • Engage in start of shift meetings and performance-based team meetings to raise and address persistent performance issues.
  • Participates in weekly asset care review meetings
  • Anticipate issues and be more proactive in approach
  • Support TLS & Operators to build asset care and RCPS capability
  • Attend all Tier 1 meetings and Tier 2 meetings as required, contribute to the agenda and complete actions as required
  • Add to the maintenance system by optimising work schedules to add value
  • Potential to carry out standby activities as and when required
  • Carry out audits and inspections on equipment deems to fall under legislative requirements
  • Able to run with and manage projects such eg.FI improvements
  • Able to be flexible regarding working hours as and when required.
  • Able to swing between an 8 hour shift into a 12 hour shift and vice versa.
  • Able to work all 3 shifts and follow the current shift pattens.
    • Improve bottling line efficiency through changes to automated controls
    • Utilize technical skills in troubleshooting, adjusting, and repairing packaging machinery that demonstrates literacy and required sophistication to manage PLC environments as well as using mechanical aptitude to solve all mechanical and electrical problems in the bottling facility
    • Assist mechanics with electrical problems
    • Fault finding on electronic controls: i.e., VFD’s, HMI’s, PLC’s
    • Install and terminate wiring for new equipment
    • Interface with vendors to maintain support network
    • Provide support to production line staff to ensure efficient daily operational efficiencies are achieved.
    • Responsible for understanding the ISO, Safety, & Quality Policy’s
    • Maintain backup programs of all PLC bottling line programs
    • Keep current with the latest developments for bottling line control
    • Train new Electrical technicians
    • Maintain spare parts inventory
    • Ability to setup and modify parameters in inspection systems (FBI/Checkmats)
