Must be able to Manufacture and repair Subs, plates and covers, water jacket pipes, liftin lugs etc.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Must be able to read drawings, take measurements and assemble components as per PD pack requirements.
- Must be able to Manufacture and repair Subs, plates and covers, water jacket pipes, liftin lugs etc.
- Gouge off and remove components in accordance to drawing specifications.
- Weld components in accordance to drawing specifications.
- Must have informed metallurgical knowledge of the different material properties.
- Must be able to determine the appropriate welding and boiler making method based on job requirements.
- Operate angle grinders to ensure a clean surface and prepare for welding.
- Set up, operate and maintain welding equipment.
- Understand and implement company’s safety standards and adhere to zero harm principles.
- Must adhere to KMC quality standards.
- Communicate any hazards observed.
- Check for gas leaks in accordance with risk assessments done before using any welding equipment.
- Responsible for 6S within specified work area
Qualifications/Requirements
- Boilermaker trade test
- Minimum of 3-5 years boilermaker experience
- Must be able to use a cutting torch and other power tools
