Purpose of Job
To support production by providing effective equipment maintenance and reliability while adhering to procedures/codes, and utilizing all available support resources to increase stability and maintain sustainability of the plant and/or equipment.

The successful candidate will be appointed according to the career ladder for MSP positions according to your level of experience and qualifications.
Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities
Do daily plant preventative inspection • Planning own tasks • Do preventative and repairs on plant equipment according to safety regulations, instruction and quality procedures. • Conduct fault finding on mechanical equipment • Initiate pro-actives in maintenance • Must be able to do standby • Willing to work overtime • Be able to work at heights, dirty and noisy areas • Actively participate in discussions that improve maintenance, quality and safety • Must be physically fit • Knowledge of emergency procedures • Must be in possession of a valid driver’s license
Formal Education
Grade 12/ N3 with Maths, Science and English
NQF level 4 Mechanical Fitter or equivalent qualification ex QCTO certificate
Trade Certificate a must
Min Experience
- At least 2 year’s maintenance mechanical experience as a qualified Fitter/Learner Artisan Mechanical
- Reading and understanding work management process
- Experience in variety of mechanical equipment, pumps, compressors, drives, mechanical seals, gearboxes, heat exchangers, cooling towers, vessels and piping.
- Bucket elevators, Conveyor belts, Vibrating screens, and Rotating drums.
