ENGIE: Electrical Technician

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Execute Electrical day to-day maintenance activities according to Maximo notification and priority set up by Team Leader.
  • Take ownership of Electrical equipment and strive to reduce equipment downtime and ensure high Plant availability at a minimum cost.
  • Perform troubleshooting activities as necessary along with the Team Leader, Maintenance colleagues and Operations, to determine failure causes and rectify defects found.
  • Ensure that contractors have all needed resources and tools to conduct Electrical maintenance activities effectively and that tasks they perform are properly recorded in CMMS.
  • Assists Team Leader in preparing and scheduling daily jobs.
  • Report to Team Leader all jobs carried out and record them properly in Maximo.
  • Participate in Plant scheduled shutdowns and turnarounds.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Team Leader.
  • Enforce SHEQ and Quality policies and procedures, and ensure that all SHEQ measures and precautions are strictly considered and taken care of during the execution of maintenance activities to avoid any activity which might lead to Health Safety and Environment incidents / non conformities.

 

 

Qualifications & Experience

 

 

  • Technical Diploma in Electrical
  • 3-4 years of operation experience in Thermal power plant or CSP Power Plant
  • Code 8/10 Drivers License

Behavioural Skills:

  • Highly proactive and self-motivated.
  • Team player, good interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with PC software’s and Maximo, able to write technical reports.
  • Good command of oral and written English is an advantage
