Job Advert Summary
Supreme processing has an opportunity available for a qualified Boilermaker in the Maintenance department. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing the various components of our poultry processing equipment, ensuring uninterrupted production and the highest standards of safety.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Red Seal Certificate (Trade as a Boilermaker)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a food processing plant
- Proven experience as a Boilermaker, preferably in a poultry processing or similar industrial setting.
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently.
- Detail and accuracy orientated.
- Effective communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed.
- Proficient in welding, cutting, and fabrication techniques.
- Strong knowledge of boiler systems, pressure vessels, and processing machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Developing, installation and commissioning of steel structures
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on boilers, pressure vessels, and other processing machinery.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Repair and replace defective components using welding, cutting, and fabrication techniques.
- Collaborate with other maintenance and production teams to optimize equipment performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment history
