Role Purpose:
- Rainbow Chickens is offering a three (3) year apprenticeship for a Refrigeration Technician. This opportunity is part of our commitment to developing a pipeline of young talent and focus on selecting individuals who would like to study towards this scarce and critical skill. This opportunity is funded through SETA.
- This position is based our Worcester Processing Plant within the Western Cape.
Required Qualifications:
- Grade 12
- N3 qualification with a 50 % pass rate in both Mathematics and Physical Science
Required Experience:
- Advantage – previous experience in an engineering environment
- Advantage – previous experience working in a refrigeration environment
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Attention to detail
- Accuracy
- Aptitude for engineering
- Driven and highly motivated
- Comfortable working in cold environment
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure
