Job Advert Summary
Undertakes planned and unplanned maintenance work on plant equipment, carries out maintenance schedules, carries out standby duties, conducts risk assessments for work to be carried out, ensures the Electrical Engineering K.P.Is are met.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric/Grade 12 with Mathematics
- Trade Test as Electrician
- Above ABET Level 4 in numeracy and communication
- Code 08 Drivers license
- At least 3 years in heavy industry
- HT Cables and Switchgear Transformers, MCC, AC Motors, DC Motors, AC & DC Drives (Basics), ESPs, Instrumentation (Basics) Maintenance Systems, Weigh feeders and PLC’s
Duties and Responsibilities
- Adhere to maintenance systems and policies
- Prompt reaction time to breakdowns and work requests
- Time management to complete each task in the optimum time
- Proper job and spares planning
- Accurate administration of work related issues (timekeeping, history feedback, repair text, work orders)
- Adherence to systems and authority levels
- Legitimacy within area of responsibility
- Perform standby duties & overtime work
- Willing to work shifts and overtime.
- Creating, promoting and maintaining a safe environment to work in.
- Demonstrate willingness to develop personally.
- Develop and improve current practices
