We are seeking 3 skilled and experienced Marine Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The successful applicants will be required to maintain, diagnose, and repair diesel engines that power all types of water-based vessels. From small engine repairs to Marine vessel maintenance.
Overall responsibilities should include, but not limited to:
- Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on diesel generators and main engines of naval vessels, including outboard motors, inboard motors, and large diesel ship engines.
- Carry out fault finding and provide suitable recommendations for the repair.
- Identify obsolete equipment and provide solutions for repairs.
- Be able to compose reports.
- Project manage all tasks allocated and meet timelines.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
- Collaborate effectively with other team members to complete projects.
Qualifications:
- Must be a qualified Artisan with Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal)
- Proven work experience as a Marine Diesel mechanic Technical Skills or Knowledge required
- Must be knowledgeable on services and overhauls of diesel engines.
- Proven work experience as a Marine Diesel mechanic Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a diesel mechanic, with a focus on marine engines.
- Own transport for commuting to the workplace.
