Required Qualifications
- Grade 12
Required work experience
- Previous work experience as a Cleaner will be advantageous
Responsibilities
Operationally responsible for:
- Good housekeeping at all times ensuring that the laboratory and offices always appear clean and organized.
- General cleaning including the kitchen, toilets and entrance, washing of cutlery and crockery and dusting surfaces as per cleaning schedule.
- Perform monthly stock take of cleaning materials and office groceries.
- Alert the Administrator and Lab Superintendent / Lab Manager of low stock levels before the stock levels dry up.
- Take responsibility for any equipment/ appliances put in his/her care, including the defrosting of the fridge(s).
- Always wear approved and supplied PPE when performing duties. Always display the relevant safety signs for customers and staff, ex. “Wet floor” sign.
