Job Advert Summary
Cleaning and maintaining the kitchen according to hygiene and statutory requirements to prevent the spread of germs and bacteria.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum grade 12 and a cooking/catering certificate
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the kitchen environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written) are essential.
- Flexibility and willingness to work overtime as and when required.
- Proven customer service orientation
- Must be a team player.
- An ability to follow and adhere to a strict daily schedule.
Primary Duties
- Ensure that all pots, pans, dishes, and cutlery are thoroughly cleaned, and hygiene standards are maintained.
- Ensuring that all floors, walls, tables, and store shelves in all kitchen areas are clean.
- Rotate in ALL areas in the Kitchen when required.
- Assist in food preparation and cooking.
- Assist in serving meals when required.
