Key Outputs
- Carry out repairs and maintenance on generator sets in workshops and on customer sites
- Troubleshoot and repair A/C electrical systems, Automatic Transfer Switches, Generator controls
- Remove and install electrical components
- Basic mechanical (engine) repairs and maintenance
- Ensure safe work practice
- Maintain professional image when representing Barloworld Power on customer site
- Quickly and efficiently deal with all customer auto electrical breakdowns
- Compile accurate customer service reports
- Effective self-management and performance ownership
- Effective contamination control
- Control own admin (labour booking, service reports, part returns, expenses etc.)
Qualification, Experience and Competencies
- Qualified in relevant trade (Electrician)
- Electrical trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
- Generator set installation experience.
- Wiremans license will be advantageous
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic technical report writing
- Some Computer Literacy (SIS, STW and ET) knowledge
- Drivers licence – Code B
