Main purpose of the Job:
Control the movement and accuracy of stock according to SOP’s.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate stock transfers
- Issue stock according to work order
- Return stock to stores from production
- Investigate discrepancies in stock during the transfer cycle
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of transfer and receipt documentation
- Record transactions timeously on the ERP system
- Write off materials as per authorization
- Control stock to agreed levels and ensure that physical amount corresponds to the amount on the system before informing purchasing department of low stock levels
- Coordinate stock takes and ensure stock cut offs are adhered to
- Coordinate cycle counts, providing relevant employees with the cycle count sheets, and ensuring that stock is counted in an effective way according to deadlines
- Coordinate recounts as required, investigate variances and process adjustments according to procedures
- Identify and report on damaged, aged, short dated, excess and dead stock
- Process write off instructions
- Process Jobs on ERP system
Requirements:
- National Senior Certificate with Mathematics Literacy
- Minimum of two years of stock management experience
- The ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in order to reach deadlines and objectives
- The ability to work with numbers and do basic calculations
- The ability to work on different computer programs
