Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to health and safety, environment, quality and housekeeping.
- Execute planned and preventative maintenance in accordance with the operations schedule.
- Breakdown work and fault finding (Electrical, Mechanical)
- Apply fault-finding techniques, and repair equipment, structures or material defects.
- Conduct regular plant inspections and surveys.
- Overhaul maintenance and assembly of machinery and equipment.
- Calibrate or adjust equipment/tools to ensure quality production.
- Ensure correct parts and consumables levels are maintained.
- Minor truck repair work.
- Ensure all major truck repair work requests are carried out and meet required standards.
- Maintain and create daily maintenance reports and registers.
- General handyman duties related to building, plumbing, electrical and mechanical where applicable and required.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Minimum NQF Level 4 – 5 Grade 12+
- Formal trade qualification essential.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in trade.
- Forklift License & Crane License advantageous.
- Ability to read drawings will be an advantage.
- Code EB License essential.
- Working at Heights Certificate advantageous.
- Computer Literate – MS Office.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends when required.
- Own transport essential, as call outs and unplanned additional hours for breakdowns are required.
