Matric certificate or equivalent

A relevant Trade Test

Must be able to read ISO drawings and welding symbols

Competent B certificate

A valid Driver’s License

Medically fit to work underground

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

At least 5 year’s petrochemical experience in a role with similar responsibilities

Previous mining experience will be advantageous

Effective communication skill

Legal requirements as per Mine Health and safety act with regards to winding plant

Knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Be able to comprehend, interpret and apply welding procedures

Provide guidance and support for any technical issues related to the section or project

Read and understand drawings and symbols

Fabricate, develop, and fit components

Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment

Inspect, examine and test installed systems and pipeline using pressure gauges, hydrostatic testing, observation, and other methods
