Primary purpose:
To provide students with an opportunity to obtain practical work experience (vacation work) related to their field of studies.
These are temporary positions for a period of 2-months from December 2024 to January 2025.
We are looking for dynamic and self-motivated individuals with the necessary ability and intention to enter a Vacation Work programme for the following disciplines:
- Electrical Engineering (Light Current)
- Mechanical Engineering
- Metallurgical Engineering
- Mining Engineering
- Chemical Engineering (Mineral Processing)
- Mining Surveying
- Occupational Health and Safety
Who can apply?
Students who:
- In terms of their curriculum, must do vacation work in order to comply with course requirement to graduate (Proof of such requirement should be provided upon application).
- Are currently in their 2nd, 3rd and 4th year of studies.
The following documentation should accompany your application:
- 1-page concise CV with certified below listed supporting documents (not older than 3-months)
- Identity Document (ID)
- Valid Driver’s License (If applicable)
- Grade 12 certificate
- Proof of Registration
- History of academic results e.g. a 4th year student should send from 1st year to June of the 4th year.
- Stamped letter from university specifying the requirements for the vacation work program.
- Proof of Residence from Tribal Council (TC)
