MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
Purpose of this role is to assemble (fitting) equipment according to bill of materials, wiring of products according to wiring diagrams and to assist with product installations on construction sites, ensuring products are in line with quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
- To carry out and complete Bill of Materials (BOM) in line with scope of practice.
- To assist with technical projects and product installations.
- To maintain and manage equipment and tools in the workshop.
- Report Incidents, potential risks and near misses.
- Liaise with workshop regularly to ensure accurate stock on hand
- Participating in stock-takes and submitting accurate reports
- Maintain continuous improvement of products, processes, systems and work environment
- Ensure product quality standards through continuous monitoring and measurement of goods received, products in process and prior to release
- Analyse and address causes of non-conformance, recommend improvements
- Assembling and wiring of equipment according to set standards and guidelines
- Perform ad-hoc equipment maintenance according to organisation requirements
- Participating to improve product traceability
- Feedback of information to updated with assembly/wiring and installation drawings/diagrams
- Continuous quality assurance of all devices and products
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Grade 12 and certification as a Qualified Electrician.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
2 – 3 years relevant work experience as an Artisan (Electrician).
REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
- Fault finding and troubleshooting
- Occupational Safety, Health and Environment (e.g. OHS and ISO)
- Planned maintenance according to set Mediclinic standards
- Trade specific policies, procedures, guidelines and relevant legislature
- Trade specific skills and knowledge -proficiency relative to role
