Job Summary:

To provide electrical maintenance and repair services to a wide variety of items for the hospital facility and associated infrastructure. The incumbent is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment at Clinix Health Group hospital sites


Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • N6 in Electrical or Mechanical engineering
  • Electrical or Millwright Trade test
  • 3 years’ experience in a similar role in a healthcare facility
  • Advantageous: SAFMA and ECA registered
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and related legislation
  • Experience should include exposure to HVAC/Airconditioning systems

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Perform repair, maintenance and installation of machinery and equipment and appliances.
  • Conduct inspection, fault finding and problem solving and repairs of equipment and appliances.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance per Clinix standards and guiding policies and principles.
  • Escalate poor machine functionality to relevant bodies / professionals.
  • Ensure complete, timeous and accurate reporting with appropriate levels of escalation to enable effective decision making.
  • Ensure feedback and progress reporting to stakeholders (Site Technical Manager, Group Technical Manager or Hospital Manager)
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to ensure safe working environment and prevent hazards
  • Preparation of monthly operations and budget reports
  • Adhere to statutory standards, policies and procedures within the business unit to ensure compliance at all times and take remedial action where necessary.
  • Comply with cost controls in order to achieve section budget.
  • Recording all task related information as required to complete planning and work order requirements.
  • Ensure service knowledge and advice accurate and provide hospital stakeholders with relevant information to keep them informed of service options.
  • Providing timely response to critical equipment breakdown priority.
  • Ensure feedback and progress reporting to stakeholders (Site Technical Manager, Group Technical Manager or Hospital Manager)
  • Adhere to statutory standards, policies and procedures within the business unit to ensure compliance at all times and take remedial action where necessary
  • Repairing, servicing, and reconditioning equipment per trade code and industry design specification requirements
  • nterpret electrical blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics to plan and execute electrical installations accurately
