PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Office Cleaners are responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment to ensure a comfortable space for our employees and visitors. This includes making coffee/tea for staff and guests.

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

 

  • General Cleaning: Clean office spaces, meeting rooms, and common areas. This includes dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing all surfaces.
  • Restroom Maintenance: Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring they are well-stocked with toiletries.
  • Kitchen Duties: Keep the kitchen area clean and tidy. This includes washing dishes, cleaning appliances, and wiping down counters.
  • Making Coffee/Tea: Prepare coffee/tea for staff and visitors as needed. Ensure the coffee/tea station is clean and well-stocked.
  • Waste Disposal: Empty all trash cans and replace liners, ensuring waste is properly disposed of.
  • Supply Management: Monitor cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies are low.
  • Welcoming, greeting and directing visitors when Office Assistant is out of office.

The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:

 

  • Previous experience in a cleaning role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of cleaning products and safe disposal methods.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Basic knowledge of making coffee/tea.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.

Education Requirements:

  • Grade 12 is required.
