Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring the electrical systems of renewable energy installations are properly installed, maintained, and optimized.
- Installation: Installation of renewable energy systems. Preparations for projects and execution. Sign of on COC’s.
- Efficiency and Quality:
- Manage quality of work performed by subcontractors.
- Trouble shoot faults and poor performance issues on sites
- Offer assistance with after-sales services
- Maintenance: troubleshoot electrical issues, and perform necessary repairs to ensure optimal performance.
- Safety Compliance: adhere to strict safety standards and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with industry standards. Develop and implement safety policies and procedures for installations and maintenance activities.
- System Optimization: maximize the efficiency and outputs of energy systems by optimizing electrical connections, monitoring performance metrics, and implementing improvements as needed. Inspection, testing, commissioning and hand-over.
- Collaboration: collaborate with other professionals such as engineers, project managers and procurement team to ensure seamless integration of renewable energy systems into existing infrastructure or new construction projects.
- Documentation and Reporting: maintain accurate records of installation, maintenance activities, and inspections. Generate reports detailing system performance and any issues encountered.
- Departmental Management:
- formulating and refining policies and procedures
- Train and develop team. Recruit new team members when needed
- Ad Hoc
- All other adhoc requirements within the electrical department
Minimum Requirements:
- Three Phase wireman’s license (non negotiable)
- Valid drivers license
- Experience in managing teams
- 3 phase electrical installation experience
- Preferable experience within the renewable energy field (solar)
