Purpose of Role
The Engineering Helper’s role is to assist in conducting daily maintenance activities while working under direct supervision of the Artisan. The Engineering Helper is required during installation, maintenance and testing of machinery and equipment used for production purposes
Role Context
- Technical work responsibilities
- All work is performed to support the following discipline:
– Rigger
– Electrician
– Technician
– Mechanician
– Boilermaker
– Fitter
– Diesel Mechanic
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 (Passed subjects, Maths and Science)
- N2
Job specific experience:
- Computer literate would be advantageous
- Certified competent as an Engineering Assistant (Level 1) would be advantageous
Inherent Requirements
Must be medically fit
