- Complete a breakdown work order.

- Conduct regular plant inspections.
- Maintaining and/or repairing low level and high level instrumentation and technical equipment.
- Perform standby duties.

- All breakdown work orders correctly completed:
- No non-conformances
- All notifications correctly completed containing:
- Correct Functional Location
- Clear description of problem
- Correct priority selected
- Correct main work centre identified
- “Reported by” field filled in.
- All feedback correctly filled in by selecting correct
- Object code
- Damage code
- Activity
- Complete with correct item confirmations
- Performing work in a safe and reliable manner ensuring the highest level of workmanship
- Assessing breakdowns and applying appropriate fault finding techniques to pinpoint root causes quickly and efficiently
- All defective equipment identified and reported timeously
- All instrumentation maintained and/or repaired correctly, safely and according to standards;
- Interpret instrumentation diagrams and job cards
- Lock-out equipment
- Check instrumentation
- Order parts from stores
- Repair instrumentation
- Overhaul instrumentation
- Install and maintain instrumentation
- Test instrumentation
- All documentation completed
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Grade 12 / N2
- Relevant Instrumentation Trade Certificate
- At least 3 years relevant experience as an Instrumentation artisan
Skills & Knowledge:
- Siemens PCS7 SCADA system and mid-level control system knowledge
- Working knowledge of conveyor belt scales
- Working knowledge of Process Automation GAMMA Density Gauges
- Working knowledge of Endress & Huaser Process Instruments (flow, level)
- Working knowledge of variable speed drives
- Working knowledge of control valves
- Working knowledge of Siemens Simocodes
- Expert Knowledge on Belt scale and Density Gauge Calibration methods
- Sound Knowledge of Plant Industrial Networks.
