POSITION DETAILS

  • Reading diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Installing stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools.
  • Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions.
  • Adjusting machinery and repairing or replacing defective parts
  • Operating machine tools to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up of machineries.
  • Ensuring operating safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications, and installations
  • Participating in the PM program on all equipment for continuous improvement of all machines
  • Keeping detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation
  • Cleaning, lubricating, and performing other routine maintenance work on machineries.
  • Adhering to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliances
  • Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe work area
  • Performing other related duties as assigned
  • G8D completion on breakdown exceeding 10min.
  • CCMD completion for breakdowns
  • Support planned production volumes.
  • PM completion to schedule.
  • Knowledge of press shop equipment.

PERFORMANCE MEASURES

  • Excellent Communication Skills, verbal and written
  • PC literacy, MS Office Excel, Word.
  • Ability to do fault finding and work on your own.
  • Variable speed drives, maintenance, and adjustments
  • Electrical/Mechanical drawings.
  • Motor testing.
  • Basic PLC fault finding ability.
  • Knowledge of Electronics, Proficient in soldering
  • Lifting equipment – Hydraulic scissor lifts.
  • Use of root cause analysis tools, i.e. CCMDs, G8Ds, etc. and implementation of Permanent Corrective Actions.

QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE

  • Qualified Millwright
  • N4 Plus Trade Test Certificate (Millwright)
  • 2-3 years of Maintenance experience in the Automotive industry.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 13.5kg
  • Must have Experience in Press shops.
    • > 1500-ton presses advantageous
    • Drives
    • Pneumatic systems and controls.
    • Conveyor systems

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES

  • 2 Years’ experience in the automotive industry.
  • 2 Years’ Maintenance experience with min. 1000-ton Mechanical Press lines
  • Hydraulic Press Experience
  • Pneumatic systems Experience
  • Basic PLC experience (Siemens, Allan Bradley, Mitsubishi and Beckhoff)
  • Basic Robotic experience (Kuka, Kawasaki, and Robot Beam)
  • Basic electrical experience
