RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To carry out operation maintenance responsibilities in relation to electrical work in the allocated area of responsibility in accordance with the UP standard and the Client’s specific needs while ensuring compliance with all statutory regulations;
- Operate specialised plant and equipment in accordance with the University’s business requirements;
- Must be available to provide after-hours service;
- Will be required to wear the provided personal protective equipment;
- May be required to work at heights.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 with 4 years of relevant experience OR any related National ( N3 ) Certificate with 2 years’ experience in electrical network ;
- Electrical Trade Test Certificate ;
- Driver’s licence.

ADDED ADVANTAGES AND PREFERENCES:
- N4 Certificate;
- 1 year of experience working in an institute of higher education.

The annual remuneration package will be commensurate with the incumbent’s level of appointment, as determined by UP policy guidelines. UP subscribes to the BESTMED and UMVUZO medical aid schemes and contributes 50% of the applicable monthly premium.
