REQUIREMENTS : Three (3) years National Diploma (NQF 6) / Undergraduate Bachelor Degree
(NQF 7) in Mechanical Engineering. Valid driver’s licence No experience. Knowledge: Departmental policies and procedures, Batho Pele Principles, Public Service and Regulations, OHS Act and Regulations, OHSAS, COIDA. Skills: Facilitation, Planning and Organizing, Computer literacy, Interpersonal, Problem solving, Interviewing listening and observation, Presentation, Innovative, Analytical, Research, Project management.
DUTIES : Provide inputs into the development of Occupational Health and Safety policies
to ensure implementation of strategies to the Department of Employment and Labour. Support technical research on Occupational Health and Safety trends and benchmarking. Provide technical assistance in the evaluation of applications for entities regularly as per OHS programme. Provide administrative support to ensure that the objectives of the directorate are fulfilled.
