Supreme Processing has an opportunity available for a Boilermaker in the Maintenance department. The purpose of the position is to construct, assemble, maintain, and repair mechanical components in the processing plant. The successful candidate will report to the Maintenance Foreman.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Qualified Boilermaker Red Seal Certificate
- Minimum 3 years’ experience (After Qualification)
- Must be willing to work shifts and overtime.
- Must be medically fit and able to work at heights.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate must be competent in:
- Plant maintenance (FMCG)
- Developing, installation and commissioning of steel structures
- Development/installation of any spouts, Chutes, square to round etc.
- Compliance to DMS maintenance system
- Install, service calibrate and repair all mechanical apparatus.
- Do mechanical fault finding.
- Perform routine inspections on all equipment and report on non-conformances.
- Perform all scheduled tasks on mechanical apparatus.
- Identify value adding projects.
- Be an effective member of a project team.
- Make safe and communicate any mechanical risks to manager.
- Effectively utilize all required PPE
- Report on non-conformance to the OSH Act
- Assist in drafting standard operating procedures.
- Supervise and monitor mechanical apprentices.
- Communicate training needs to manager.
- Maintain all mechanical drawings.
- Safe keep/maintain machine manuals and apparatus lists.
- Do accurate and comprehensive feedback on completed job cards.
