Minimum Requirements
Qualification(s):
• N6/S4 Mechanical Diploma
Experience:
• 3 years in turbine and mechanical plant.
• Exposure to quality management systems
• Exposure to AutoCAD drafting and interpretation of technical drawings.
Skills and Competencies
• Strong technical and planning skills with the following criteria’s -Quality Assurance, time keeping, report writing, investigating, problem solving, recommendation, controls and planning during refurbishment and preassembly.
Knowledge:
• Exceptional knowledge of various Power station Turbine, generator related plant.
• BMS systems and procedures.
• Auditing of BMS systems and SHEQ requirements during refurbishment and preassembly.

SHEQ Responsibilities:
• Continuous Improvement: Ensure that your Administration Document is current and includes your SHEQ objectives Ensure that all legal appointment are valid and in place for your area of control.
• SHE Compliance: As a Section 8 & 9 appointee, you are to ensure that the duties of the employer as contemplated in the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 are properly discharged and all legal appointments are valid and in place for your area of control.
• Reduce Rework: Measure and report on Rework vs Revenue for your department monthly and ensure you reduce rework to less than 0.5% of turnover.
• ISO and OHSAS certification: Ensure that all activities are carried out as per the documented processes and comply with the requirements of ISO and OHSAS certification.
• Audit Rating: Maintain an audit score of less than 2 and/ or receive no major audit findings
Key Responsibilities
• Review of planned scopes of work and identification
• Compilation of extent of quality control required and allocation of responsibility
• Identification of technical specification, work instructions and procedure and incorporation thereof into PQP’s
• Quality input into purchase requisitions
