Sibanye-Stillwater: Learnership 18.2 Electrical

Minimum Required Qualification:
  • Electrical– required qualification subjects: N2 Mathematics, N2 Engineering Science, N2 Industrial Electronics, N2 Electrical Trade Theory.
  • Or, Grade 12 – Mathematics, Physical Science, Drawings(engineering graphic design) relevant trade theory- with at least 40% for all subjects
The Appointee should:
  • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye-Stillwater Occupational Health Care Centre.
  • Have clear security screening results.
  • Applicants in possession of a Section 28 or 26D Trade Certificates will not be considered including another Learnership.
  • Applicants will need to undergo an interview process and psychometric assessment, which will be considered during allocation of learnerships.
  • The selection process will not be delayed to accommodate applicants whose screening process is delayed for whatsoever reason.

  • Applicants must submit a fully completed CV and certified copies of ID, Qualifications and Statement of results to the Sibanye-Stillwater Academy.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the programme objectives and associated tasks.
  • Complete all modules of the development programme within the specified timeframe.
  • Escalate queries and concerns associated with the programme and completion thereof where required.
  • Adhere to all legal and safety requirements.
  • Conduct all work according to the required standard, specifications, and training.
  • Attend SHE meetings as and when required.
  • Ensure that the prescribed safety equipment is worn and/ or used.
  • Recognize hazardous situations that have an impact on all jobs and participate in “on the job” risk assessment.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • Report all inconsistencies and obstacles.
  • Report and communicate ideas and recommendations.
  • Ensure effective team relationships and support.
  • Support and promote a positive work environment.
  • Ensure effective two-way communication between team members.
  • Focus on Health and Safety as well as operational excellence.
