The successful candidate will be responsible for the execution of maintenance on equipment installed at Air Liquide Filling Facilities, Road tankers, Hospitals and Customer Installations. Refurbishment of pumps and related equipment at the workshop, including management of the spare parts. Attends in house and external training to become proficient in working with bulk gas delivery systems serviced by Air Liquide.
Accurate population of Job cards for all maintenance.
Perform periodic standby duties, drive and perform maintenance at customer sites, delivery and collection of spare parts at/ from suppliers, etc.
Maintenance of cryogenic pumps at AL premises and customers.
- Maintenance of road tankers.
- Maintenance of Filling Facilities in Alrode, Highveld, Pretoria and Bloemfontein.
- New electrical installations and maintenance of existing electrical installations in Air Liquide facilities, road tankers and customer installations.
- Adherence to SANS 10142 and working knowledge of explosive environments.
- Perform Maintenance and breakdown work on road tankers, Onsite installations and Bulk Installation of an electrical and mechanical nature and assist.
- Preventative and corrective maintenance relating to control panels, pump motors and instrumentation such as temperature controls and pressure transducers on road tankers, as well as IM site electrical equipment
- Fault Finding on various types of equipment – especially pumps & Compressors.
- Repairs to pumps at AL premises and customer installations, both local and out of town.
- Perform installation work (electrical, instrumentation, mechanical) on projects as and when required.
- Refurbishment of pumps and related equipment at the workshop, including management of the spare parts.
- Communicating problems/ irregularities to the manager
- Working additional hours and standby as & when required.
- Recording information and record keeping as required (job cards, record books etc.).
- Adhere to the QA Procedures as laid out in the Quality Policy of Air Liquide & ISO 9001:2000 as well as additional IMS requirements.
- Walkabouts – Periodic inspections of the tankers to have a proactive system to fix issues.
