Introduction
An exciting career opportunity exists at Mintek for an Engineer-In-Training -Internal candidates only. The incumbent will be responsible for assisting in the design, commissioning, and operation of pilot-scale facilities in the Hydrometallurgy Division. Reporting to the Head of Metal Recovery and Remediation, the successful candidate must assume an active role in the operation of laboratory and pilot-scale Test work. Willingness to work towards a common purpose, and ability to respond to supervision, guidance and direction in a positive and receptive manner are non-negotiable attributes of the role. JOB KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum: BEng / BSc Hons in Metallurgical/Chemical/Mechanical/Process Engineering or equivalent, with a strong emphasis on hydrometallurgy research and technology development.
- Ideally, MSc / MEng degree in Metallurgical/Chemical/Mechanical/Process Engineering or equivalent, with a strong emphasis on hydrometallurgy research and technology development.
- Internship experience, with a strong emphasis on hydrometallurgy research and technology development, is highly advantageous.
- Must have worked for at least 5 months on hydrometallurgy pilot campaigns.
