Overall Purpose / Objective of the Job
Under the general direction of the Electronic Workshop Manager, responsible for performing various Electronic workshop related tasks on a day to day basis. The objective is to perform assembly, installation, alteration, repair, fault finding, calibration and testing of electronic equipment.
Job Specific Responsibilities
- Capable of carrying out planned maintenance as per the maintenance schedule
- Capable of reading and understanding circuit drawings and basic circuit design
- Carry out predictive, scheduled maintenance and electronic repairs
- Must maintain and abide by workmanship standards
- Complete all relevant documentation related to the test and repair of products
Qualifications and Experience (inherent requirements of the position)
- Grade 12 Essential
- National Diploma in Electronic communication – Applied Electronics/Instrumentation equivalent essential
- 3 Years’ experience in Electronic repairs
- 1 Year NDT experience will be advantageous
- Unendorsed legal driver’s license
- Must be willing to travel from time to time
