The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
- Effective software programming and fault finding in line with OEM specifications
- Accurately interpret PLC, electronic and electrical drawings in fault finding.
- Effectively program, repair, maintain, trouble shoot and overhaul all types of raise boring / mining equipment according to agreed standards, procedures and specifications.
- Cost containment through effective planning, no rework, availability of spares and equipment
- Self and team understand and comply with M&RC’s standards, policies, procedures and safety protocols.
- Effective stakeholder engagement to ensure smooth workflows
- Effective self and team management and alignment with M&RC’s values and leadership initiatives
Minimum requirements
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent- Electronics] or an Electrical Trade Certificate with in-house certification of PLCs and AC/DC drives.
- ECSA registered Technician preferred.
- Valid Driver’s license
- Good English communication skills (written and verbal)
