Our client is currently seeking a young, energetic, and physically fit candidate to join their team.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical certifications or coursework in mechanical/electrical fields is an advantage. (Red seal)
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labour.
- Basic knowledge of tools and machinery.
- Commitment to a career in the millwright trade.
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under supervision and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the maintenance, repair, and installation of machinery and equipment in the steel plant.
- Learn to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with guidance from experienced millwrights.
- Participate in the routine inspection of machines to ensure they are functioning optimally.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
- Support Factory Manager in the execution of various tasks and projects.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Attend and actively participate in training sessions and workshops.
