As an Apprentice Ground and Maintenance Consultant, you will be trained to recruit for roles within the Grounds and Maintenance sector. This sector involves the upkeep of outdoor spaces, landscaping, and facilities maintenance. You’ll engage with candidates, matching the right people with the right job opportunities.

For those unfamiliar with the term, particularly in South Africa, Grounds and Maintenance refers to the management and care of outdoor spaces and facilities. This includes landscaping, garden services, lawn care, and ensuring buildings and outdoor areas are kept in good condition. It’s an essential industry, especially in sectors like parks, schools, and business complexes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contact candidates via phone, discussing current job vacancies
- Candidate sourcing using various recruitment portals
- Assist in sourcing candidates and matching them with job opportunities in the Grounds Maintenance sector
- Build relationships with candidates
- Support the recruitment team with day-to-day tasks and administrative duties
- Take initiative and identify opportunities for improving recruitment processes
