The Role
- Conducts or schedules, co-ordinates and supervises Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Calibration with external Service Providers via indirect procurement as prompted by the computerised maintenance management system within the designated time frames.
- Troubleshoots equipment in an adequate manner with respect to a controlled production environment and in close communication with key stakeholders.
- Conducts or schedules unplanned equipment maintenance.
- Completes relevant work orders for all Calibration, planned and unplanned Maintenance activities.
- Interfaces with various interfaces at the site e.g. Validation, Manufacturing, QC, Site Services to provide updates on a regular basis.
- Ensures that the necessary databases/software systems are updated with work progress to reflect current status.
Qualifications and Experience
- Tertiary Qualification in Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and a minimum of 3 years’ relevant industry experience required
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Manufacturing / Engineering, preferably in a Biotech or diagnostic equipment industry
- Knowledge of ISO9001:2008 and ISO13485 standards preferable.
- Equivalent combinations of education and/or experience are acceptable
