Qualification:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- N6 in Electrical Engineering
- Trade Tested Red Seal
Experience:
- 3-5 years of post trade test experience in heavy Industrial plants performing installation, commissioning and fault finding for motor control:
- Electrical Direct Online (DOL)
- Soft Starter
- Variable SPEED Drives
- Electrical fault finding, installation and commissioning on switchgear LV & MV
- Electrical fault finding, installation, sizing and commissioning on Electrical protection such as circuit breakers, surge protection, earth leakage
- Panel wiring and population for Motor
- Control Centers and installation and commissioning
- Advantage would be knowledge of PLC and field instrumentation
- Motor testing and Megger
- Cable sizing for all Electrical applications
- Electrical protection and motor control sizing for various applications
- Worked on various projects or maintenance of different plant areas (Heavy Industrial)
- Installation of SOLAR PV and Inverters would be an advantage
Required Knowledge:
- Engineering concepts, components/equipment, methodologies, processes, standards such as SANS10142, legal requirements for equipment.
- Safety Requirements for Industrial Plants
- Quality Management requirements
- Strong Fault-finding abilities on Electrical Infrastructure
- Ability to perform new installations
- Strong planning ability for allocated work using Excel
- Ability to communicate with client on issues identified and develop Bill of Quantities for pricing to resolve plant issues
