Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:
- Assist Artisans in the execution of their tasks including breakdowns, installations, problem solving and maintenance
- Cleaning, painting, general housekeeping and handyman activities when required
- Engineering workshop upkeep
- Removal and stripping of machines components and assemblies
- Use of Forklift for Maintenance tasks
- Taking of samples in utilities areas
The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:
- Grade 12 with N2 would be advantageous as this is a pipeline position
- Electrical trade test and forklift driver license preferable
- Punctual and able to work after hours when required
- Own reliable transport
- Resilience and ability to work well under pressure
- Able to work unsupervised for menial tasks
- Experience with workshop equipment (Drills, grinders, lathes, etc)
- Competently use hand tools (Proof of basic hand tools training will be advantageous)
- Knowledge of safety requirements in a workshop and manufacturing site
- Must be able to complete inspection sheets and job cards
