Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
- Prompt identification of recurring defects and inefficiencies, flag, analyze and resolve/escalate accordingly.
- Effectively plan, organize and control the rebuild and repair of TMM machines to agreed schedule, budget, standards and specifications
- Order parts/equipment timeously and within budget
- Read and interpret technical documents and schematics and apply effective fault-finding methodologies and validation techniques.
- Compliance with SHEQ, M&RC and client standards, policies, procedures and safety protocols
- Effective stakeholder engagement
- Competent, motivated, disciplined and positive team
- Effective self-management and alignment with MRC values and leadership initiatives
Minimum requirements
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
- Grade 12
- Section 26 Electrical Trade Certificate / MIETTB Trade Certificate through a registered body.
- Analytical and attentive to detail
- Good job planning and organizing skills.
- Valid Code EB driver’s license
- Good English written and verbal communication skills.
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
- 5 year’s of mining industry experience (underground and surface)
- 5 years of trade experience as an Electrician on underground TMM equipment.
- Knowledge on the following Sandvik machines; Double Boom Rig (DD421), Roofbolter (DS411)
- Experience applying effective fault finding procedures and validation techniques.
- Experience interpreting diagrams and technical documentation such as schematics, manuals, standards and codes
